Waterlilies | 8. View from Gohyaku Rakon Temple |
Isolated above the water, the woodCreaks and rejoins, its soft surfaceResponding to the slippers and heelsAs the crowd presses up to the rail,Unable to hold back, one man crying out,Pointing, the two women resting at lastOn the smooth round railing, looking outPast the pond, along with the aristocrat,The man with the itchy scalp, and the manResting next to his huge pack.Only the little boy ignores it, clingingTo the clump of herbs, resisting all this adultHoopla, drawn forward anyway, by his mother,To make this moment a souvenir, focusedBy the landscape on the point between two villages,The magnificent bump, Mount Fuji.
