E-commerce 2002	The trends from late 2002 suggest online shopping is continuing, deepening, becoming more democratic. All trends for Web sales point sharply up, but Web sales threaten traditional distribution arrangements, customer service plans, fulfillment operations, and even male dominance.
Auctions	The auction sites we recommended in our book The Best of Online Shopping have grown, transformed, and merged into new partnerships. Here's our rundown on the new life in the old sites--and, we are sad to report, a few deaths among them, too.
Prescription & Over-the-Counter Drugs	Online drugstores are battling each other with new interfaces, new services, and new product lines. We took the temperature of the stores we recommended in our book The Best of Online Shopping, to find out how they were faring. Most were improving, but a few, we have to report, were on the decline.
